It is (new) restructuring of an unprecedented scale. The Secretary of Health of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., announced on Thursday the abolition of 10,000 positions and the closure of several public health agencies, some of which create the Congress.
In a video posted on social networks, Kennedy Jr. justified this decision due to the lack of efficiency of the ministry that directs: “We are going to do more,” he said, denouncing an “extensive bureaucracy” of 82,000 agents that, according to him, “failed to improve the health of Americans.”

In total, 20,000 positions will disappear: 10,000 for layoffs and 10,000 others through early or voluntary exits. The Ministry will only have 62,000 employees, compared to 82,000 before.
