Mathematically, anything is still possible, but victory now seems highly unlikely for the vice-president. To confirm the Republican candidate’s victory or revive the suspense, results from the key state of Pennsylvania are still awaited.

Benyamin Netanyahu reorganizes his government so that it leans even more in his favor in the midst of the war against the Hamas and the Hezbollah. In a statement issued by his office on Tuesday evening, the Israeli Prime Minister announced that he had appointed Israel Katz, previously Foreign Minister, to replace Yoav Gallant as Defense Minister. At 69, Israel Katz, described by his country’s media as a “bulldozer” because of his direct and sometimes abrasive style, is a long-standing ally of Benyamin Netanyahu. He should therefore be much more in tune with the Prime Minister than his predecessor at Defense Yoav Gallant.
The LOSC continues its excellent run in Champions League. Incredibly beaten in October by Real Madrid (1-0) and Atlético de Madrid (1-3), Lille managed to snatch a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening against a clearly dominant Juventus side, on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League. Bruno Genesio’s men opened the scoring on a sublime counter-attack led by Edon Zhegrova and finished off by Jonathan David (1-0, 27th), but were logically pegged back in the second half by a Dusan Vlahovic penalty (1-1, 60th). Monaco also enjoyed a fine evening on Tuesday, winning 1-0 at Bologna. Let’s hope these results give Monaco some good ideas for the future. PSG who host Atlético Madrid this Wednesday at 9pm, and Brest who travel to Sparta Prague.
