Near, anonymous, fans and actors in the world of football paid a last tribute to the Portuguese striker of Liverpool Digo Jota on Saturday, who died at the 28th years of a road accident with his brother, during the funeral in Gondomar, near Porto, where they grew up. The ceremony, held by the bishop of Porto in the main church of the city, brought together several players of the Portuguese team, including Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Danilo Pereira or Joao Felix, and the Spanish coach Roberto Martinez.
The captain of Liverpool, Virgil Van Dijk, was also there, bringing a set of red flowers in the form of a number 20 that the Portuguese used. The night before, the Dutch defender had already left, with several of his teammates and his coach Arne Slot, to the burning chapel, where the family of the Red striker and his younger brother met, André Silva, who played in the Portuguese division.
