He is the Pope of the ancient era. Léon “Le Grand”, only Pope Leo Canonized, marked his time. His pontificate was one of the most decisive in Catholic history and Léon 1st is often considered one of the best potatoes in history. He played a key role in the definition of Christian doctrine during the Council of Chalcedon in 451.
