There is no doubt that Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani was among the most important figures in the world of sports throughout 2024.
But this could only open more doors for Ohtani, which could range from household goods to food, life insurance and more.
To begin with, the Japanese left the Los Angeles Angels to join the ranks of the Dodgers on a record $700 million contract, which made him the highest paid sportsman in the world.
The site essentiallysports.com reported that Ohtani had between 19 and brands behind him, and his fees were around $7 million annually.
But most importantly, he was a key player in helping the Dodgers reach the World Series and win the MLB title by defeating the New York Yankees in the Fall Classic in just five games.
For now, Ohtani’s life is full of happiness, abundance and good news, as 2024 was all good, from a record contract, new historic marks, a World Series title and the icing on the cake: he and his wife are expecting their first child.
The Dodgers’ gamble seemed crazy, but it paid off. First, the player established the new 50-50 club, with more than 50 stolen bases (59) and more than 50 home runs (54), and was named the National League MVP.
