Everyone waited for Jonas Vingegaard this Thursday between Saint-Just-en-Chovalet and the Côte-Saint-André. But it was the Lenny Martínez Francés (Bahrein – Victorus), leader and Clément Champoussin (Astana), 2nd, who achieved a fantastic double in this fifth stage of Paris. It was not until the last hundred meters of the stage, in the Côte-Saint-André, to see a promised victory for the lease of a bicycle and, in particular, in Matteo Jorgenson. The American ends anyway with the yellow shirt on his back. His teammate Jonas Vingegaard, 16th and victim of a fall, is the great loser of the day.
On Friday during the sixth stage, the corridors will go from Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban to Berre L’Etang for a day that promises to be calmer. We will have to wait until the last weekend, in the beautiful interior, to know the name of the winner.
