After Tuesday’s mortal attack at a university in Nogent (Haute-Marne), during which a supervisor was stabbed by a 14-year-old student, Emmanuel Macron reacted by asking for radical measures “in a few months” about young people to social networks.
Invited to France 2, the Head of State considered it necessary to prohibit these platforms for children under 15 years. He expects a coordinated action at European level, but warns that France could act alone: ”I give myself a few months to manage European mobilization. Otherwise, we begin to do it in France. You can’t wait.”
A supervision already in debate

Last April, the Government had already mentioned the implementation of a stricter age control, or even an identity verification, to restrict the access of minors.
