LeBron James is no stranger to overcoming obstacles, and his current battle with left foot soreness is no exception.
After being sidelined for two games, the 20-time NBA All-Star made his return to the court, continuing to play a pivotal role in the Lakers’ success.
LeBron James’ health issues won’t stop him
James has been transparent about his health challenges, especially the impact of his foot injury.
“Figuring out a way to continue to make my foot feel as great as it can be, you know, obviously paying attention to that,” he said following a recent win against the Kings.
Despite the discomfort, James has remained focused on staying active and engaged with his team, even when he’s not playing.
“I’ve been feeling pretty good, especially after the break. And we see what happens. We see what happens, but I’m playing the game when I’m out there, and I’m making sure that I know what’s going on when I’m not out there,” he added.
Off the court, James has taken on more responsibility.
His leadership has been crucial in guiding the Lakers through a rough patch, and now, with a three-game winning streak, his influence is more apparent than ever.
“Most important is my voice,” James shared.
“I always gotta make sure that my voice is always commanding and calling things out and letting guys know what things are happening behind the defense.”
While Anthony Davis anchors the defense, James uses his experience to direct the team’s offense and defense from the sidelines.
