But this is just sophistry from the media, and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley punctured it on two fronts, as our friends at Townhall reported. Not only did Turley call her wrong, but he said her point was “legally irrelevant.”
The biggest problem was her confessed cluelessness when it came to the question.
“Phillip appears willing to accept that Hunter and his uncle enriched themselves with influence peddling but somehow believes that that does not implicate the subject of the influence peddling, Joe Biden,” Turley continued.
“I’m still waiting to see the proof of Joe Biden enriching himself. I take his brother and his son, perhaps,” CNN host Abby Phillip said. Then as I noted, Lawler did lay out a direct line.

As we reported the other day, Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) dropped some big truth bombs on CNN host Abby Phillip over Joe Biden and money from Chinese nationals.

The tweet continues:
REP. MIKE LAWLER: “I’ll give you the direct line. A Chinese company transferred money to a shell company owned by Hunter and Jim Biden that then transferred money directly to Jim and Sarah Biden’s shell company that then transferred the money to Jim and Sarah’s personal account, who then immediately wrote a check for $40,000 to Joe Biden. So to say that there was no evidence is not true.”
