Prior to the College Football Playoff quarterfinal (Sugar Bowl) between Notre Dame and Georgia, a moment of silence was held for the 15 people killed and several others injured in the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans. Afterwards, following the national anthem, Fighting Irish and Bulldogs fans united in a “U-S-A” chant.
The network says it couldn’t because of a “timing issue.”
