There are worms in the apple: having a team dedicated to checking each and every application (and its updates) transiting through theApp Store didn’t stop Apple to host a “fake real” daily life manager… with illegal aims, reports Numerama.
Named Micros Habits, l’app in question made it possible to stream – illegally, it goes without saying – of movies and series in high definition… or even download ! And some people had plenty of time to take advantage of it, since although the first reports were issued on October 17, 2024, the application was not removed until the following day.
We could have left it at that, but that was without the perseverance of the pirates behind Micro Habitswhich generate income through advertising that it imposed in order to benefit from its “service”: Numerama reports the recent appearance, on the App Store, of Flower Butler – a supposed plant manager who proposes the same thing.
While this is an unfortunate event, it’s not the first time that applications have deceived the App Store’s vigilance. Numerama assumes that in this case developers from Micro Clothes have temporarily disabled theIPTV interfacewhile the Apple verification team checks it… and validates it.
